OUTSIDE-NETWORK INCOMING SYSTEM FOR CATV TELEPHONE SYSTEM AND TERMINAL EQUIPMENT AND CENTER EQUIPMENT USED THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable all terminal equipment to receive incoming calls from outside of a network, without relying upon the number of extensions of a private branch exchange or the number of manageable numbers of the exchange. SOLUTION: An outside incoming system is provided with terminal equipment 3-6, which are connected to a bidirectional CATV network and can make audio communication and to which telephone sets can be connected and a center facility 1 which realizes the audio communication by using the channel of the CATV network. The center facility 1 is provided with route center devices 14 and 15 which control routes, a private branch exchange 12 which forms a speech channel for realizing the audio communication, and an outside-network connecting device 11 which is connected between an outside network 7 that is a CATV network other than its own CATV network, and the exchange 12 and realizes the audio communication with the network 7. The connecting device 11 is constituted in such a way that, when the device receives an incoming call request from the network 7, the device 11 forms a speech channel to the route center device to which the terminal equipment receiving the incoming call belongs, so that the audio communication is made between the network 7 and the terminal equipment.
