Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing maghemite hyperfine particles having a sharp grain size distribution below 100 nm in average grain size by inexpensive raw material with simple equipment. SOLUTION: An electrolytic cell is partitioned by ion exchange layers and an electrolyte containing ferrous ions is put into the anode 1 side of this cell and an alkaline electrolytic to the cathode 2 side. Voltage is impressed between the anode and cathode of such electrolytic cell to move the ferrous ions through the ion exchange layers from the anode side to the cathode side, by which the iron compound deposited in the alkaline electrolyte on the cathode side is oxidized and is furthred heated, by which the maghemite hyperfine particles are obtained. |
