AIR CONDITIONER FOR VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle which can mix cool air and reheated air well and deliver warm reheated air to foot areas of rear seats. SOLUTION: In a second chamber R2 a heater core 13 to reheat air cooled by an evaporator 12 is disposed, and on a partition wall 119 an opening 119a is provided. When a rotary door 15 to open or close the opening 119a is closed, an air mix space M1 is secured above the second chamber R2 and cool air from the evaporator 12 and reheated air from the heater core 13 are mixed in the air mix space M1 well. Also on a front wall 118 a bypass opening 118a is provided opposing the heater core 13. Depending on priority to heat rear seats, the open area of the opening 118a is adjusted by controlling the opening of a bypass door 18, and resultantly warm reheated air warmer than that for foot areas of front seats can be delivered to foot areas of the rear seats.
