Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress to a minimum loads exerted on a processing capability of functions other than the SNMP by relieving a load of CPU processing of an asynchronous transfer mode ATM switch main body. SOLUTION: When a same ATM switch with a plurality of servers mounted thereon allows a network management system(NMS) 11 to access a management information base of a server of an ATM switch 12 by using an simple network management protocol SNMP procedure, one of a plurality of the servers is used for a master server 13, other servers are set to slave servers 14a, 14b, etc. The ATM switch 12 accesses the master server as a representative server, by using the SNMP procedure and the master server accesses the other slave servers by VC(virtual connection). A permanent virtual connection PVC is used for the communication between the ATM switch and the master server, and a switch virtual connection SVC is used for the communication between the master server and the slave server. |
