Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a series regulator reduce in power consumption and stabilized in circuit operation. SOLUTION: A main circuit is constituted of a differential amplifier circuit, a driving circuit, a non-load bias reducing circuit, an over-current limit circuit, and an output stage circuit, the voltage of an output point is divided by resistors R17, R18, the divided voltage is outputted from a node between the R17 and the R18 and inputted to the gate of an M1 of a differential amplifier circuit, VREF is inputted to an M2 of the differential amplifier circuit and a feedback loop is formed so that the potential of a node between the R17 and the R18 and the VREF are always fixed. The effective area of an M13 is larger than that of an M7 about by two digits so that load current is allowed to flow only through the M7 when a load current is small and the load current is allowed to flow through the M7 and the M13 when the load current is large.
