Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a good toner and developer which are high in printing concn., lessen white ground staining and is free of in-machine splashing in repetitive actual shooting by constituting the toner and developer in such a manner that the toner contains specific pts.wt. of magnetic powder and that a carrier is a coated carrier coated with a resin containing carbon black. SOLUTION: The toner contains 0.1 to 30 pts.wt. magnetic powder and the carrier is the coated carrier coated with the resin containing the carbon black. The resin components which can be used for the toner include, for example, polystyrene, polychlorostyrene, etc. Further, the binder resin is particularly effective if the resin is a polyester resin. The resins from known saturated and unsaturated resins and arbitrarily usable as the polyester resin. The composition consists of polyhydric alcohol and polybasic acid and if necessary, at least either of the polyhydric alcohol and the polybasic acid is obtained by polymerizing the monomer composition containing tervalent or higher valence polyfunctional components.
