Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust catalyst temperature conditions without causing degradation of fuel consumption and a sudden increase of smoke in diesel engines which are provided with a catalyst in their exhaust passage and with a direct fuel injection into the combustion chambers of their cylinders. SOLUTION: A catalyst absorbs NOx under a high oxygen concentration and releases NOx under a low oxygen concentration for NOx reduction purification, whose conversion efficiency is low in a non-warmup state. A turbosupercharger supercharges intake air by means of an exhaust gas. In an accelerating engine operation or for promotion of a catalyst temperature elevation, a basic injection quantity Qbase of fuel corresponding to engine-required torque is injected from each injector in three parts near the compression top dead center of each cylinder, and concurrently fuel injection quantity may be increased. |
