Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a paint composition preservable for a long time, and capable of effectively preventing the adhesion of various marine species on the underwater surfaces of outside board of a ship's bottom or the like for a long time. SOLUTION: This paint composition comprises (A) a below-mentioned binder, (B) a metal-containing antifouling agent and (C) a carboxylic group-containing monobasic acid and/or a metal soap. The binder comprises (a) a resin containing a carboxylic group, having an acidic value of 20-550 KOH mg/g and a glass transition temperature of -60 deg.C to 0 deg.C and (b) a resin containing a carboxylic group, having an acidic value of 20-550 KOH mg/g and a glass transition temperature of 10 deg.C to 60 deg.C, and has a compounding ratio of both the components (a)/(b) of 1/9 to 9/1 by weight and a glass transition temperature of -40 to 40 deg.C.
