COSMETIC COMPOSITION FOR SUPPRESSING SENILE PROCESS OF SKIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cosmetic composition that is useful for suppressing skin aging and for treating pathological troubles in the skin by using a specific hydroximic acid derivative as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: This cosmetic composition comprises (A) one or more kinds of conventionally used cosmetic carriers and (B) a hydroximic acid derivative represented by formula I [R1 is H, a 1-5C alkyl; R2 is H, a 1-5C alkyl, a 5-7C cycloalkyl, or the like; R3 is H, phenyl, naphthyl, pyridyl; Y is hydroxy; X is amino; R may form a chemical bond together with B; A is a group of formula II (R4 and R5 are each H; (m) and (n) are each 0, 1, 2)] or its acid adduct. The derivative of formula I is typically O-(3-piperidino-2-hydroxy-1-propyl) nicotinic acid amide oxime. In a preferred embodiment, the content of the component B is 0.1-30 mass %. The composition may be used also as a cosmetic preparation suitable as a topical skin treatment.
