Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an iron tip excellent in heat conductivity without hurting a human body in heating to a high temp. and without causing damage/ performance degrading to an electronic part due to static electricity by constituting from ceramics that a specified amount of yttrium oxide is added to aluminum nitride. SOLUTION: A ceramic material of a soldering iron tip made of a ceramic material contains 3-30 wt.% Y2O3 and the balance AlN. The heat conductivity as the iron tip of a soldering iron for soldering and solder removal is >=150 W/m.k. The heat conductivity is gradually increased as adding more Y2O3 to AlN. The crystal structure obtained in this blend is so that a crystal boundary of AlN is turned to a garnet layer where an oxygen solid solution layer is contracted and heat conductivity between grains is good because AlN crystals are brought into proximity each other and oxides to hinder heat conductivity are greatly reduced.
