Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the supply of fluid (oxygen) for medical intervention sensitive to the physical activity of a patient by connecting an activity sensor means to a fluid flow control means and changing a fluid flow control structure from a first state to a second state when the activity is detected. SOLUTION: A person 10 requiring supplementary oxygen is able to carry an oxygen source. The oxygen source has an intrinsic pressure reduction system which sends the oxygen through a tube to a control unit 16. The control unit 16 regulates oxygen flow and sends the oxygen flow through a tube to a nasal cannula. The regulation of the oxygen flow by the control unit 16 imparts an input signal for the activity of the person 10 in controlling the flow rate. A foot switch operates when the person 10 exists in a standing position and a seat switch is arranged in the hip within clothing and operates when the person sits. A thigh switch 26 is so arranged as to be supported and oscillated by a strap 28 from a belt 30 and operate in response with the activity of the person 10. |
