AIR CLEANER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner which has a dehumidifying function and a function to remove the chemical materials contained in the air in a living room by an oxidation reduction reaction or neutralization reaction in combination, is capable of highly efficiently and cost effectively removing these chemical materials by the combination of both functions and has a structure suitable for miniaturization. SOLUTION: This air cleaner has a dehumidifying device section 2 and a filter section 3 having an air filter unit 30 disposed to close an outflow port 21 of the air in the dehumidifying device section 2. The air filter unit 30 constituting the filter section 3 has filter media 30' for capturing and removing the chemical materials contained in the air fed therein by the oxidation reduction reaction or neutralization reaction of the compound containing permanganic acid.
