Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming an electrode of a PDP capable of reducing the amount of electrode materials such as a silver to be discarded upon electrode completion and of removing a silver paste embedded mold without adversely affecting an electrode. SOLUTION: This method for forming an electrode of a PDP is conducted wherein a photosensitive emulsion is coated on a substrate 1 to form a photosensitive film 50, a metal paste embedded mold is formed by exposing and developing an electrode pattern on the photosensitive film 50, a metal paste is embedded in the metal paste embedded mold and then the metal paste embedded mold is dissolved and removed. Preferably, the photosensitive emulsion is a polyvinyl alcoholic photosensitive emulsion 5. In this case, the solution liquid is preferably a periodic acid.
