DEVICE FOR MONITORING VEHICLE IGNORING SIGNAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decide a vehicle ignoring a signal and to precisely photograph the vehicle with a camera by receiving a synchronizing signal outputted by a light emitting device and a light receiving signal outputted by a light receiving device, deciding the absence of the light receiving signal and sending a photographing command to a camera for photographing a picture. SOLUTION: When a signal 5 shows red, the signal 5 outputs a red display signal to light emitting devices 1A and 1B which emit infrared rays A and B and simultaneously generate a synchronizing signal. When a vehicle C interrupts the rays A and B emitted from the devices 1A and 1B, light receiving devices 2A and 2B are prevented from sensing the rays A and B, and a signal processor 3 decides that the vehicle C arrives at a white line 6. When the interruption of the rays A and B by the vehicle C is released and the devices 2A and 2B can receive the rays A and B, the passing of the vehicle is decided. Then, the vehicle C further proceeds, and as soon as the vehicle C ignores the signal, the processor 3 outputs a photographing command signal to a camera for photographing a picture, and the camera 4 is operated to photographs the number plate of the vehicle C ignoring the signal.
