Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make vehicles automatically run in accordance with a dynamic operating schedule on an exclusive road. SOLUTION: A vehicle running system is provided with a plurality of station sections 5 each having a mutually serving function and a vehicle passing-by function, sensors 11 and local controllers 12 which detect vehicles 3 entering an exclusive road from an ordinary road 2, memories 16 which store the allowable shortest running time between a target station section and the station sections 5, the allowable longest running time between the station sections 5, and the present running locations of each vehicle 3. The system is also provided with the arithmetic processing section 13a of a central controller 13 which automatically prepares an operating schedule including the arrival time of each vehicle 3 at each station section 5 by reading out the allowable shortest running time between the target station section and station sections 5, allowable longest running time between the station sections 5, and present running locations of each vehicle 3 from the memory 16 of each entering vehicle 3 in accordance with the detecting timing of the vehicle 3 and calculating the possible arriving time range of each vehicle 3 at each station section 5 and a vehicle controller 17 which variably controls the running speed of each vehicle 3 in accordance with the operating schedule automatically prepared by means of the section 13a.
