STOPPER MECHANISM FOR SLIDING DOOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stopper mechanism for engaging and holding a door body at its fully open position by solenoid switching of the condition of a stopper, the stopper mechanism using a solenoid as an operating source for offering high reliability while preventing the action of a lateral load on a plunder of the solenoid. SOLUTION: A lock 36 is set in and out between a flat arm 25 of a stopper 17 and a receiving wall 32 of a stopper block 19 fixed to a bracket 16 to cause the stopper 17 to be switched into a locking condition and an unlocking condition. The lock 36 is fixed to the lower end of a plunger 35 of a solenoid 18. The lock 36 has a first roller 37 for externally contacting the flat arm 25, a second roller 38 for externally contacting the receiving wall 32 and a roller frame 40 for axially supporting both rollers 37, 38 in a loosely running manner. The solenoid 18 can be operated without any trouble by bearing a lateral load on the roller flame 32 via the lock 36.
