Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact device having a simple structure so as to change speed in a wide range by connecting a hemispherical rotary body having the center of a circle of equatorial cross section of a hemispherical body and a rotary shaft in the direction of cross sectional right angle with an input drive rotary shaft directly and bringing a contact rotary body into contact with a spherical face of the hemispherical rotary body and rotating it while bringing them into pressure-contact three- dimensionally. SOLUTION: A rotary shaft 1 of an input drive rotary body rotated and driven by a drive source is directly connected with the center of a circle of an equatorial cross section of a mushroom-shaped hemispherical rotary body 2. A plate 3 as a contact rotary body is provided to come into contact with a spherical face 21 of the hemispherical rotary body 2 and rotate while coming into pressure-contact with it, and an intermediate slide bearing 35 movable to the right and left is provided in an upper end part 34 of the plate 3. This intermediate slide bearing 35 moves along a guide rail 51 consisting of a pair of lower oblique going parallel rails of a guide member 5. To change the number of revolutions on an output side, the guide member 5 is rotated, and a tip part 36 of the plate 3 is brought into pressure-contact at a point on a meridian A of the spherical face of the hemispherical rotary body 2 through the intermediate slide bearing 35 to obtain required gear shift power.
