U-SHAPED SIDE DITCH MEMBER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save energy at the construction site where wiring/piping pits are constructed, by embedding a steel plate beforehand at least in one internal side surface of a U-shaped side ditch member. SOLUTION: A steel plate 1 is attached to an internal side of a U-shaped side ditch member beforehand so that wiring or piping rack 3 can be attached thereto by welding. An internal steel form 6 for the U-shaped side ditch member has a hole formed therein, and the steel plate 1 is fixed to the form 6 by hexagonal nuts 9 and bolts 8. Next, reinforcing bars are arranged between the internal form and an external steel form for the U-shaped side ditch member, and concrete is placed therein, thereby forming the side ditch member. After hardening, the forms are removed, and the thus molded U-shaped ditch members are connected to each other at the construction site. Then, the wiring or piping rack 3 is connected to the steel plate 1 attached to the internal side thereof beforehand, by welding. Thus, energy saving at the construction site is achieved, and a construction period can be shortened.
