Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure printing having no missing of dot without replacing an ink cartridge even upon occurrence of a defective nozzle. SOLUTION: The ink jet printer comprises a sheet position control section 10 for locating the print position on a print sheet corresponding to a defective nozzle at the print position corresponding to a normal nozzle upon occurrence of a defective nozzle, and a dot moving section 11 for generating a dot data by moving the dot position in correspondence with the positional shift of the print sheet caused by locating the print position on the print sheet corresponding to the defective nozzle at the print position corresponding to the normal nozzle wherein a print head 4 prints a dot data generated from the dot moving section 11.
