DENTAL PROSTHESIS BASE MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental prosthesis base material by which a prosthesis such as a veneer crown is easily and inexpensively produced. SOLUTION: An artificial front surface 32 corresponding to the front surface (the front surface side of an anterior tooth) is formed at the front side of a prosthesis base material 3 to be the original form of the veneer crown. The state of the surface 32 is previously formed to be close to the one peculiar to a human tooth, that is, the transparent, glossy and white one. Then the whole part of the surface 32 except a part or the whole of it is worked by cutting or grinding so that the desired shape veneer crown is finished. Hemi- spherical index parts 33 and 33 are arranged at the rear side of the base material 3 so that positioning is executed by the parts 33 in the case of a work by cutting or grinding.
