SOLUTION: A color conversion section 50 receives picture data Rd, Gd, Bd to apply prescribed arithmetic processing to them and outputs picture data Rdm, Gdm, Bdm receiving color conversion. Each buffer memory 57 receives the picture data Rdm, Gdm, Bdm that are color-converted via a picture data bus 56, and they are fed to each display unit 30 configuring a screen 21 via a transmission line 31. Each display unit 30 converts the received picture data Rdm, Gdm, Bdm into a drive signal for a pixel 2, each pixel 2 is lighted on the basis of this drive signal and the entire screen 21 displays a picture of a desired hue.
