Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize excellent code division multiple access CDMA communication by detecting a correlation peak at an excellent S/N. SOLUTION: A delay profile generating section gives a received base band signal and a spread code to a correlation arithmetic section 201, which gives a signal resulting from the correlation arithmetic operation to a level arithmetic section 202, where the reception level is calculated. An averaging section 203 averages n-sample data as the result of the level arithmetic operation and n- sample data among m×n-sample data in a storage section 204. The storage section 204 stores m×n sets of averaged data that are outputs from the averaging section 203 and outputs n-sets of data among the m×n sets of data stored when succeeding averaging is processed. Furthermore, a peak detection section 205 detects a correlation peak from the m×n sets of correlation results that are outputs from the averaging section 203, a control section 206 monitors the correlation peak on the basis of the output of the peak detection section 205 to decide a type of a generated spread code and its timing and allows a spread code generating section 207 to generate the spread code.
