Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a piezoelectric vibrator coated with a piezoelectric vibrator mold resin from being exposed from the mold resin and to suppress rise in cost of connection between terminals and a lead frame, with respect to a thin SMD(surface mounted device) type piezoelectric vibrator (or oscillator). SOLUTION: An SMD type piezoelectric vibrator 1 consists of a piezoelectric vibrator 2 which has a vibrator held on an airtight terminal 2b provided with a lead line 2c and is sealed by a sealing tube 2a, a lead frame 4a which is made electrically conductive to the lead line 2c and is connected to an external electrode, and a mold resin 3 with which the piezoelectric vibrator 2 is coated. In this SMD-type piezoelectric vibrator, the lead frame 4a is provided with a rise part 4a2, which holds the lead line 2c and an engaging means 9 which embraces the end parts of the sealing tube 2a of the piezoelectric vibrator.
