Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the radiation energy of a laser beam as small as possible and the crack generation and to adapt to a relatively small-sized sealed battery when laser welding to produce a sealed battery. SOLUTION: On the outer surface of this sealing plate 31, a groove 311 is formed along an outer peripheral line 310. A step 312 is formed in the groove 311, the center side of the step 312 is lower. The groove 311 can be formed by applying a pressure force on a flat plate of an Al-Mn system alloy for the material of the sealing plate 31 in the thickness direction and recessing the flat plate using a forging technique.
