Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make recordable a motion video information in real time by moving the position of light beams for every predetermined section, reproducing tracks where information is recorded, detecting a defect from the level of reproduced signals and starting next recording from a position separated a predetermined distance from a position where the defect is detected when a defect is detected. SOLUTION: In recording data on an optical disk, a recording command is transmitted to a CPU 21 via an interface from a significant device as a host, and moreover, the data to be recorded are stored in a buffer memory 28 via an interface circuit 27. When the data stored in the buffer memory 28 reach a predetermined amount, data of a predetermined volume to be recorded are sent to a coding circuit 29 via the interface circuit 27. The coding circuit 29 modulates the input data by a modulation method appropriate to a characteristic of the optical disk and outputs to a laser driver 30.
