Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an yield of a stainless steel strip in a reverse rolling mill by arranging many recessed parts or plural grooves long in the axial direction on a sleeve used for a tension reel. SOLUTION: Many grooves 2 are arranged on the surface of a sleeve 1 parallel in the axial direction and the grooves 2 have a groove width of 5-10 mm, a depth of 2-3 mm and at an equal pitch in the circumferential direction. In order to smoothly discharge a residual of the rolling oil stuck to a steel strip surface, the groove is suitably extended up to the both end faces in axial direction of the sleeve. Being the straight line parallel to the sleeve axis is further preferable for easy working, the grooves are desirably arranged intermittently on the same straight line or intermittently and alternately in the axial direction of the sleeve. Further, a curved line, a bent line and a screw shape one roughly along the sleeve axial direction may be used. The number of the grooves is roughly 20-50 in the circumferential direction, the grooves are desirably arranged at an equal pitch in the circumferential direction. There is no case that the friction between a steel plate and the sleeve is reduced by wear.
