METHOD FOR CONTROLLING NETWORK FACSIMILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance user-friendliness by providing a program distribution server to which a plurality of firmware data for a network facsimile terminal are registered to the system, allowing a user of the network facsimile terminal to access the program distribution server so as to select a device function required for the network facsimile terminal and designate a network address of the user. SOLUTION: When a pogrom distribution server DM receives a connection request from a Web browser working on any of work stations WS1 to WSn, the server DM replies the connection request, reads a file on request and transmits the file to the work station. The program distribution server DM waits for a data transmission request, received request information when receiving a transmission request, reads firmware data corresponding to selection information included in the received request information, applies MIME conversion to the firmware data, references a mail address included in the received information to generate an electronic mail, transmits the electronic mail to the address and awaits a succeeding connection request.
