Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store states of each electrical node of a transmission line and to initialize them at the start of operation of a computer. SOLUTION: A device including a signal transmitting circuit 12 to form a stream of continuous bits, the sufficiently long transmission line 10 to successively transfer bits from a first end to a second end of the transmission line 10 before the previously received bits are transferred to the second end, having well-known length and well-known time for propagation of a single bit from the first end to the second end, a signal receiving circuit 14 to be connected with the second end and to receive the transmitted bits and a data storage device 28 in which digital bits arranged on the transmission line 10 are stored is provided.
