Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly inspect whether a transmission loaded to a vehicle is a normal transmission or not. SOLUTION: The apparatus for inspecting wrong setting of a transmission which judges whether the transmission mounted to an engine output side of a vehicle is a normal one or not has a revolution number-detecting means (step 101) for detecting an engine revolution number and a correspondence between the engine revolution number and a vehicle velocity, a comparing means (step 102) for comparing a reference value of the correspondence preliminarily set corresponding to a transmission gear ratio of the normal transmission with the correspondence detected by the revolution number-detecting means, and a judging means (steps 103 and 104) for judging on the basis of the comparison result of the comparing means (step 102) whether or not the set transmission is a normal transmission.
