SOLENOID VALVE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the motion performance of a valve element over a long term. SOLUTION: In this solenoid valve, a core side stopper 21 is provided in the core 7 attracting a plunger 15 and its tip position is retreated from the attraction surface 7b facing to the plunger 15. A plunger side stopper 22 projecting from the end 15a facing to the attraction surface 7b into the core 7 is provided on the plunger 15. When the plunger 15 is attracted to the core 7, the plunger side stopper 22 is contacted with the core side stopper 21 inside the core 7 and a magnetic gap with a prescribed size L1 is ensured between the core 7 and plunger 15. A high shock resistance can be ensured on the plunger side stopper 22 and the damage during its use term is prevented. By applying a nitriding process to the plunger side stopper 22 and core side stopper 21, the change of the magnetic gap by wearing is prevented.
