MOISTURE ABSORBING TATAMI

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide excellent moisture absorptivity/releasability by providing a diatomaceous earth material layer between a Tatami facing and a Tatami floor using a natural rush and a synthetic rush. SOLUTION: A clayey diatomaceous earth 2 is applied to the reverse of a Tatami facing 1, this is dried to be sewn on a floor as the Tatami facing, and when a part of a Tatami floor is recessed, only the part is thickly applied. The diatomaceous earth premolded in a sheet shape is adhered to the Tatami facing 1 by an adhesive, and in this sheet-like diatomaceous earth, the clayey diatomaceous earth is formed in a sheet shape to be dried. Next, the sheet-like diatomaceous earth is used as a functional sheet to be inserted between the Tatami facing 1 and the Tatami floor, and the diatomaceous earth is sprayed on a floor and the other sheet on the floor not in a clay shape but in a powder or granular state. Thus, because of diatomaceous earth, Tatami facing can be sewn on the Tatami floor even after being hardened.
