COMPOSITION FOR EMULSION TYPE HAIR DRESSING PREPARATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition capable of imparting flexibility and luster to the hair while keeping the high hair-setting effect, further having stability with time and hardly causing change of the smell by including a surfactant, a polyvinylpyrrolidone and the like, and regulating the pH of the system within a specific range. SOLUTION: This composition contains (A) a surfactant (e.g. N- stearoylglutamic acid) preferably of one or more kinds selected from an N-long chain-acylamino acid-based surfactant, a sucrose-fatty acid ester-based surfactant and an N-acyltaurine-based surfactant, (B) a polyvinylpyrrolidone, (C) an oil such as a liquid paraffin and (D) water, preferably in the proportion of 0.5-3 wt.% component A, 2-5 wt.% component B (expressed in terms of the content of the polymer), and 10-30 wt.% component C, and the pH of the system is regulated to 4.0-7.0 by using a pH regulator such as triethanolamine. The composition is useful for a hair cream or the like.
