MOBILE RADIO TERMINAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile radio terminal that can reduce current consumption when ion actual operation, while obtaining a desired diversity gain. SOLUTION: This mobile radio terminal is provided with a reception system, consisting of an antenna 1, a shared unit 3, a 1st diversity branch 6 and a 1st rake receiver 8 and a reception system consisting of an antenna 2, a band pass filter 5, a 2nd diversity branch 7 and a 2nd rake receiver 9. In the diversity reception by the two reception systems,. when a confined output of a symbol conbining circuit 10 indicates prescribed reception quality, a signal quality discriminating circuit 11 stops the oration of the 2nd diversity branch 7 and the 2nd rake receiver 9, and the reception is conducted by one of the reception systems. When the reception quality cannot be obtained by the reception of tone of the reception systems, the signal quality discriminating circuit 11 restarts the operation of the 2nd diversity branch 7 and the 2nd rake receiver 9, so as to allow the two reception systems the conduct the diversity reception.
