PLANAR COORDINATE INPUT DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planar coordinate input device which provides button click operation from side to side without depending on the position of a finger. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a planar coordinate input means 1, a coordinate information acquiring means 2 for acquiring coordinate information outputted by the planar coordinate input means 1, a button operation discriminating means 3 for determining the button operation of a mouse from the coordinate information acquired by the coordinate information acquiring means 2 and a discriminated result storage means 4 for storing the result discriminated by the button operation discriminating means 3 and when coordinates in touch, touch and untouch states are continuously acquired, the designation of button click operation is discriminated.
