LARGE SPACE BUILDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the spread of smoke due to the influence of a cooled surface when a fire occurs by forming a movable wall that can rise upward from a floor between a space including the cooled space and the other space in a large space building provided with a large space having a cooled surface inside. SOLUTION: In a large space building 20, a smokeproof wall (movable wall) 4 is disposed between a space A including a cooled surface 1 and the other space B, the smokeproof wall 4 is structured so as to be raised upward from a floor. In this large space building 20, an air inlet 6 and an exhaust opening 7 are arranged on the space B side not including a cooled surface 1 for enabling natural smoke exhaustion or mechanical smoke exhaustion. When a fire occurs, the smokeproof wall 4 automatically rises up from the floor 5 and stops halfway between the floor 5 and a ceiling 8, thereby preventing circulating air current 38 caused due to a cold draft of the cooled surface 1 from spreading to the space B not including the cooled surface 1.
