Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a shock to a pickup and avoid damage by arranging a coil spring so that the pickup compresses the coil spring at the position just before the pickup moves along a guide shaft and is latched by a fixing part of an optical disk device. SOLUTION: A guide shaft 18 is put through coil springs 34, 36 at both end parts, and the end parts 34a, 36a of the coil springs 34, 36 farther from the optical pickup 24 are fixed to the guide shaft 18 or guide shaft supporting parts 10, 12. The end parts 34b, 36b of the coil springs 34, 36 near the optical pickup 24 are made free ends, and the coil springs are arranged at the positions so as not to be brought into contact with the moving directional end faces 24a, 24b of the optical pickup 24 within the moving range of the optical axis of the optical pickup 24 at the time of recording and reproducing. When the optical pickup receives a strong shock, the optical pickup 24 moves along the guide shafts 18, 22, and the end face 24a or 24b is abutted on the end parts 34b, 36b of the coil springs 34, 36 to compress the coil springs 34, 36.
