Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform freezing without needing a defroster. SOLUTION: This cooling system has heat absorption and generation devices 5A and 5B using hydrogen occlusion alloy MH for absorbing and generating heat by the suction and discharge of hydrogen, and the heat absorption and generation device can be moved by a movement means 20 so that the devices are selectively positioned in a channel 11 and channels 12 and 13 for allowing air in a cooling chamber 10 and outside air, respectively, to flow, thus efficiently carrying out cooling by circulating air without using a refrigerant, and hence eliminating the need for a defroster. Also, the side of the heat absorption and generation device is moved for fixing the channel for allowing the air to flow, thus reducing the loss of heat in the channel, and hence obtaining high thermal efficiency.
