Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the deterioration of an image obtained by correcting blur even when a distance to an object is changed. SOLUTION: This blur correction device is constituted so that the blur of the image on the image pickup surface of a CCD 33 caused by the shake of a video camera is corrected. Besides, it is provided with a detection part 21 detecting the direction and the amount of the shake of the video camera, a range-finding part 14 measuring the distance to the object, a calculation part 22 optimizing the correction amount of blur according to the direction and the amount of the shake detected by the detection part 21 and the distance to the object and a correction system driving part 23 and a variable angle prism 31 correcting the blur of the image on the image pickup surface of the CCD 33 according to the optimized correction amount of the blur.
