PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size and weight of a power distributor for a ship. SOLUTION: This power distributor 10 for a ship utilizes generators 14 driven at high speed than standard or normal speed and/or having poles for generating power, using a standard frequency of 50/60 Hz or a significantly higher frequency such as 400 Hz than the standard 50/60 Hz. Each generator 14 consists of a multiphase-multiple circuit generator for supplying mutually insulated outputs on a plurality of electrical lines to a propelling power converter 22 having a mutually insulated inputs for supplying variable frequency-variable voltage power to a ship-propelling motor 30, and a facility power converter 26 for supplying in-ship facility power to facility loads at the standard AC or DC and the standard voltage. This constitution eliminates the need for a power conversion transformer in most of the parts, resulting in reducing the size and weight of the distributor.
