Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antifreeze refrigerator where storage period is prolonged by containing a liquid having a freezing point lower than 0 deg.C but not lower than the freezing point of food in a liquid container of good thermal conductor penetrating an upper part of a section for containing foods surrounded by a heat insulating wall and bringing the container into partial contact with chill on the outside of refrigeration chamber section. SOLUTION: Chill being blown into low temperature refrigeration chamber 3b from a cooling duct 5b passes on the outside of the wall 8A of section 8 and flows forward along the outer left side before being collected from an air inlet and returned back to a cooling coil in a refrigerator 2. Since a liquid container 10 penetrates the top part of the section 8 and the upper part of the wall 8A, chill flowing along the upper outside cools a liquid 11 in the liquid container 10. Since the temperature of chill lowers below an intermediate temperature, the liquid 11 begins to freeze and cooling from the outside of the container is spent only for robbing the latent heat of freezing of liquid. When the operating conditions of refrigerator are set such that the intermediate temperature at a rear point of the section 8 in the low temperature refrigeration chamber 3b will be -1 deg.C or below, antifreeze low temperature refrigeration can be effected with a PG solution having concentration lower than 3.5%.
