METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DRIVING REINFORCING PIPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drive a reinforcing pipe in a desired direction or a reinforcing pipe in a curved state, in a method of driving the pipe into the ground for reinforcement at the time of tunnel construction or the like. SOLUTION: An expandable pit 1 which can expand its external diameter is used, and a pipe 4 is inserted thereinto simultaneously with boring. After the boring, the pit 1 and a rod 2 are drawn while the pipe 4 being left as it is. In this case, a rod guide 5 is used, which is formed of a plurality of rod holders 6 and a spacer 7. The rod holders 6 are internally connected to the pipe 4 and rotatably support the rod 2 in the pipe 4. The spacer 7 holds the rod holders 6 within the pipe 4 by maintaining an appropriate interval. Thus, boring is carried out while the rod 2 being rotatably supported in a curved state within the pipe 4 immediately behind the bit 1, and therefore the boring of a curved hole and insertion of the pipe 4 can be simultaneously carried out.
