Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a prophylactic or therapeutic agent for arteriosclerotic diseases in which MCP-1 participates. SOLUTION: An organogermanium compound represented by the formula [(O1/2)3Ge-A-CO2H]n (n is >=1; A is a lower alkyl group) remarkably suppresses MCP-1 receptor antagonism, e.g. chemotaxis such as monocyte which is brought about by MCP-1. The compound becomes a prophylactic or therapeutic agent which is effective to arteriosclerotic diseases in which MCP-1 participates.
