ELEVATOR CALL OPERATION DEVICE AND ELEVATOR SYSTEM EQUIPPED THEREWITH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To let a visually handicapped person facilitate an elevator call operation. SOLUTION: In the surface of a face plate 1 for an elevator call operation, a recessed, cut-out, or projected shaped door direction guiding part 10 is provided at its left end part in an intermediate area 7 between an upper area 6 provided with a hall button 2 for calling an elevator to be moved upward, and a lower area 8 provided with a call button for calling an elevator to be moved downward. This constitution thereby indicates that an elevator call position is available at the left side of the face plate. Since a visually handicapped person usually starts touching the peripheral part of the face plate, he can easily seek out the door direction guide part 10, so that he can thereby find the direction of an elevator at present. The door direction guide part 10 is provided for the side of an elevator available to an visually handicapped person, and he can obtain operation guide information about the elevator through braille prints provided for the door direction guide part 10.
