POWER-DRIVEN CRIMPING TOOL FOR FIXING CAP TO BOTTLE OR VIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a tool for fixing a cap on a bottle or a vial by having a plunger which is moved between a starting position and a stopping position with a motor and plural jaws which are released when the plunger is present in the starting position and closed when the plunger is present in the stopping position. SOLUTION: By the rotation of a screw drive shaft 112 in a plunger drive channel 131 and cooperation of a hexagonal channel 58 and a hexagonal guide member 132 of the plunger, the circular rotation of the shaft 92 of a motor 90 is converted into the vertical movement of the plunger 130. When the plunger 130 is upward moved, the releasing/engaging point 80 of the jaw is corresponded to the beginning part of a slope to the inner part of a jaw releasing part 134. When the plunger 130 is continued to move upward, the engaging point 80 is inward inclined with the circular spring 86 in a groove and the bottom part of the jaw 70 is opened. When the plunger 130 is continued to move downward after bringing it into contact with the cap in this state, the cap is fixed on the bottle or the like by cooperation with the jaws 70.
