Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plane type image display device capable of displaying image on both of a face plate and a rear plate of one panel by making wiring formed on the rear plate a transparent film so that image is not hindered by the wiring in the case of seeing image from the back surface of the rear plate. SOLUTION: On the rear plate on which the wiring is formed, a Cr film is formed, and on this Cr film an opening part corresponding to a conductive thin film is formed. A panel 03 is formed of the rear plate with this structure and a face plate. In the case of seeing the panel from the front case 01 side, normal image is displayed. In the case of seeing the panel from the rear case 07 side, image obtained by reversing the image seen from the rear case 07 side is displayed. Consequently, the panel 03 can be seen from the front case 01 side, and a back surface side 13 of the panel 03 can be seen through the rear case 07 from the back surface side.
