Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide battery separator porous films high in piercing strength while having a high porosity and, in addition, low in the shutdown temperature. SOLUTION: Battery separator porous films are composed of a resin composition comprising (a) 50-90 wt.% polyolefin resin composition containing not less than 1 wt.% ultra-high-molecular-weight polyolefin resin having a weight average molecular weight of not smaller than 1×106, (b) 5-15 wt.% saturated thermoplastic elastomer composed of a copolymer of 70-90 wt.% at least one block selected from an ethylene block, a hydrogenated butadiene block, and a hydrogenated isoprene block, and 10-30 wt.% a styrene block and having a weight average molecular weight of 1×104-2×105, and (c) 5-35 wt.% polyolefin thermoplastic elastomer having a peak temperature by a differential scanning calorimeter of 80-150 deg.C and a melt flow rate(MFR) at 190 deg.C under a load of 2.16 kg of not greater than 10 g/10 min.
