Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defect pixel replacement system where pixel data of a defective pixel are replaced with a weight mean of pixel data of a normal pixel when there is a defect in a pixel being a configuration unit of a video input section and to provide a video display device. SOLUTION: Pixel addresses before and after a defective pixel are latched on the basis of a head pixel address of a defective pixel on an n-th line (n is a positive integer) of a video frame, coincidence between the latched pixel addresses and an input pixel address is detected, pixel data after and before the defective pixel are written at a trailing edge of a signal resulting from detection of the coincidence on an (n+1)th line, the written pixel data are read at a time of a signal denoting the defective pixel on (n+2)th and succeeding lines, pixel data applying weight mean to the pixel data read at the same time in response to number of consecutive defects are generated and the pixel data of the defective pixel are replaced with the generated pixel data.
