Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a computer system which imparts flexibility, resource usability, and expansibility by providing operating system instances which are executed in different sections. SOLUTION: A multiprocessing computer system 200 divides hardware logically into sections 202, 204, and 206. Hardware elements are assigned so that many operating system instances 208, 210, and 212 can be executed at the same time. This allocation is carried out by console programs 213, 215, and 217. The operating system instances 208, 210, and 212 serve to give the consistency between the resource allocation and sharing by properly using system resources. Serial lines 220, 222, and 224 are connected to a single multiplexer 226 fitted to a workstation 228 to display console information. |
