Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the operation of an unloader that is applicable to larger holds, and unload holds even when its portal breaks. SOLUTION: Two portals 26 are installed for straddling travel motion over holds 10. The portals 26 each have a vertically movable grab bucket 32, and a feeder conveyor that has a traveling hopper 40 and is movable between a first position just under the grab bucket 32 and a second position separated from the grab bucket 32. With the end of the feeder conveyor situated above a longitudinal feed conveyor 21 laid along the holds 10, the portal 26 and feeder conveyor are moved back and forth, and the grab bucket 32 is moved vertically, so that the longitudinal feed conveyor 21 feeds cargo in the holds 10. A waiting area can be ensured to accommodate a broken portal 26.
