SLIDE DROP PREVENTING DEVICE FOR PRESS MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide drop preventing device for a press machine in which its structure is simple, moreover maintenance, check and repair are easy and its manufacturing cost is reduced. SOLUTION: This slide drop preventing device is provided with a fitting hole 13B which is provided in a stopper block 13 fixed to an adjusting screw 11 of a slide adjusting device 10, a lock pin 14 which is freely advanced and retreated by a prescribed stroke length S through the fitting hole 13B at a set stopping point of a slide 3 preliminarily set, a guide block 15 which is fixed onto the back surface of a crown 2 and freely slidably guides the lock pin 14, a cylinder 16 which is fixed to the guide block 15 and slides on a piston part 14A of the internally provided lock pin 14, position detecting sensors 18A, 18B which are provided in the guide block 15 and transmit a detecting signal of the advancing and retreating limit of the lock pin 14 provided in the guide block 15, and a dog 17 which is provided in the tip end part of the lock pin 14 and detects the advancing and retreating limit of the lock pin 14 by engaging with the position detecting sensors 18A, 18B.
